Cédric Frenette Dussault, étudiant de l’université de Sherbrooke (Quebec) a rejoint l’équipe Ecologie de l’ECWP pour démarrer sa thèse intitulée: Plant community assembly prediction through an aggregated trait approach: application to the conservation of the Houbara bustard (Chlamydotis undulata ndulata).

Août 2008

Des résultats originaux sur le comportement reproducteur de l’outarde houbara ont été présentés au 12ième congrès de l’ISBE (International Society for Behavioural Ecology), qui s’est tenu du 9 au 15 août 2008 à l’Université de Cornell (Ithaca, New York state).

- Alternative mating strategies in the North African houbara bustard, Chlamydotis undulata undulata. Yves Hingrat, Lorraine Bourget and Loïc Lesobre.

- Courtship display behaviour honestly signals both semen quality and ‘good genes’ in a lekking bird species. Rémi Chargé, Michel Saint Jalme and Gabriele Sorci

Loïc Lesobre a soutenu sa thèse de doctorat au Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle (MNHN, Paris) intitulée : Structure génétique des populations menacées d’outardes houbara (Chlamydotis undulata undulata). Implications à la gestion d’un élevage conservatoire et au renforcement des populations.
